Automate Forum Monitoring and Insights with Bright Data and OpenAI
detail.loadingPreview
Streamline your market research by automating the monitoring of online forums. This workflow leverages Bright Data to gather relevant discussions from Google searches and utilizes OpenAI to generate concise summaries of consumer feedback.
About This Workflow
This n8n workflow provides a robust solution for automated forum monitoring and sentiment analysis. It begins by scheduling daily data collection at 9 AM. The process then defines a specific search keyword, for example, 'iPhone 16', and uses Bright Data's unblocker to perform a targeted Google search on Quora for discussions related to that keyword. The HTML from the search results is parsed to extract thread titles and their corresponding URLs. These URLs are then used to fetch the content of individual Quora threads via Bright Data. Finally, OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model is employed to analyze and summarize the extracted consumer feedback, and the key insights, along with the search topic, are automatically saved to a Google Sheet for easy access and further analysis.
Key Features
- Automated Daily Monitoring: Schedule your forum data collection to run automatically each day.
- Targeted Data Extraction: Precisely define keywords and search specific platforms like Quora via Google search.
- Intelligent AI Summarization: Leverage OpenAI to distill complex discussions into concise, actionable summaries.
- Seamless Data Storage: Automatically append extracted insights and summaries to a Google Sheet.
How To Use
- Configure Schedule: Adjust the 'Run Periodically' node to set your desired monitoring frequency and time.
- Define Search Keyword: Update the 'Define Search Keyword' node with the specific product, service, or topic you want to monitor.
- Set Bright Data Credentials: Replace 'API_KEY' in the 'Google Search Results' and 'Individual Quora Threads' nodes with your actual Bright Data API key.
- Configure Google Sheets: In the 'Save to Google Sheet' node, ensure your Google Sheets credentials are set up and the correct 'documentId' and 'sheetName' are specified for your desired destination.
- Select OpenAI Model: In the 'OpenAI Chat Model' node, choose your preferred OpenAI model (e.g., 'gpt-4o-mini') and configure any necessary API settings.
- Review and Test: Run the workflow to ensure data is being extracted and summarized as expected. Adjust CSS selectors in the 'Links from Google HTML' and 'Answers from Threads' nodes if forum structures change.
