About This Workflow

Workflow Overview:

This n8n workflow automates the categorization of incoming Outlook emails. It starts by fetching unread, uncategorized emails from a specified Outlook folder. An AI model (Ollama Chat Model) then analyzes the email content to determine the most relevant category and sub-category. Based on the AI's output, the workflow applies these categories to the email, and optionally moves it to a specific folder (e.g., Junk, Receipt, SaaS, Community, Business). This ensures a cleaner inbox and faster retrieval of important information.

How To Use

Configure Microsoft Outlook Trigger: Set up the 'Microsoft Outlook23' node to fetch emails from your desired inbox. Ensure the filters flag/flagStatus eq 'notFlagged' and not categories/any() are correctly applied.
Sanitize Email Content: The 'Markdown1' and 'varEmal1' nodes process the email body, removing HTML tags and other extraneous information to prepare it for AI analysis.
AI Categorization: The 'Ollama Chat Model1' node analyzes the cleaned email content to predict a category and sub-category. Ensure Ollama is set up and the 'qwen2.5:14b' model is accessible.
Define Categories: In the 'varID & Category1' node, customize the 'category' field to define the possible categories your AI can assign. You can also modify the logic in nodes like 'Microsoft Outlook10', 'Microsoft Outlook12', etc., to map AI output to specific Outlook folders and category names.
Apply Categories & Move: The various 'Microsoft Outlook' nodes (e.g., 'Microsoft Outlook12', 'Microsoft Outlook15') update the email's categories and move it to the appropriate folder based on the AI's classification.
Error Handling: The 'Catch Errors1' node logs any errors encountered during the workflow execution.
