How it works
This n8n workflow automates the process of drafting replies to incoming Gmail emails.
- Gmail Trigger: Monitors your Gmail inbox for new emails.
- Assess if message needs a reply (Langchain/OpenAI Chat): An AI model analyzes the subject and body of the incoming email to determine if a response is necessary. It specifically filters out marketing emails.
- If Needs Reply (If Node): A conditional node checks the output from the AI assessment. If the AI determines a reply is needed, the workflow proceeds.
- Generate email reply (Langchain/OpenAI Chat): Another AI model, using a predefined set of instructions (including tone, format, and handling of specific reply types), drafts a suitable reply based on the original email's content.
- Gmail - Create Draft: The generated draft reply is then saved as a draft in your Gmail conversation thread, ready for your review and sending.
